Grammy Awards 2016: Kendrick Lamar Wins Big


…as Angelique Kidjo wins her 3rd Grammy Award

It’s the biggest night of the music calendar: the worlds of rap, pop, country and music gathered in Los Angeles to see who wins the top gongs, and to watch the likes of Adele and Rihanna perform.

Everyone from Adele to Rihanna, Lady Gaga to Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar,Carrie Underwood, The Weeknd, Little Big Town and many, many more took the stage and the world by storm.

Benin Republic singer and global music icon Angelique Kidjo has won her third Grammy Award. The singer has now won the Best World Music Award category back to back afters she won a Grammy for World Music album for “Eve” a tribute to the African women last year. She won the same award category for the album Sing at the ongoing 2016 edition. On her victory she wrote on Instagram, “thanks to my fans! I’m dedicating my #Grammy to my fellow African artistes and musicians! I love and respect you so much! You inspire me!”
