Nigeria’s leading telecommunications company, MTN, and a technology transport operator, Uber, have signed partnership that will deliver to MTN subscribers’ free rides worth N6,000 which is N3,000 off their first two rides, thereby providing MTN subscribers the opportunity to move freely around Lagos.
At the launch of the partnership, the general manager for Uber, Lagos, Ebi Atawodi, said that whether you are going to a restaurant or heading out for a meeting, Uber will move you wherever you need to go and MTN will also ensure fast and reliable access to the app anywhere in Lagos.
MTN subscribers who download and sign up for Uber with the promo code Yelloride will receive two free rides up to the value of N3,000 each.
She said, “We are very excited to announce our partnership with MTN Nigeria. MTN is the largest mobile network provider in Nigeria and we are thrilled to be offering their subscribers an opportunity to use our app for the first time.”
The general manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria, speaking also at the launch said, “By partnering with Uber, a leading innovator, we’re helping our customers enjoy a premium and reliable ride to and from destinations of their choice, at the touch of a button on their mobile devices.”
The two companies said that users need to download the Uber app, register their personal details, select vehicle option, enter pickup location and destination as well as use the promo code, Yelloride, and get N3,000 off their first two rides.
