Three men- Aliu Abubakar, 33; Abubakar Mohammed, 40, and Ibrahim Mohammodu, 38, were on Monday arraigned before an Iyaganku Senior Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan over alleged attempted kidnapping.
The three defendants were arraigned on a two -count charge of conspiracy and attempted kidnapping.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Marvelous Obonga told the court that the accused persons conspired among themselves to commit the offence.
Obonga said that the three suspects on Oct. 7, 2015 at about 4 p.m. at Kara area, Igangan, Ayete, Igboora, attempted to kidnap one Idris Abdullahi.
He said the offence contravened Sections 516 and 509 of the Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The accused persons denied committing the offence.
The Senior Magistrate, Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case till March 29 for trial. (NAN)
